TILTON — Motorcycles from three states rumbled into the Lakes Region Saturday to support the Children's Hospital at Dartmouth and 13-year old Kaylee Cassavaugh's struggle with a rare brain tumor.

The event, organized by the Capital Region Bikers for Christ, involved 87 motorcycles and raised more than $4,000.

Bikers from Vermont, New Hampshire and Massachusetts rode from the First Church of the Nazarene in Loudon to the Cassavaugh family home. Cassavaugh rode on the back of Bikers for Christ organizer Bob Pease's motorcycle. The girl's mother, Carrie Cassavaugh, rode with another Bikers for Christ leader, Allan Mistler.

Participants called Kaylee's Ride for CHaD, as the event has come to be known, a huge success.
RAYMOND — Capitol Region chapter of Bikers For Christ conducted a Blessing of the Bikes and accompanying ride which attracted over two hundred motorcyclists for free hot dogs, chips and soda before bowing our heads and bending our knees as Pastor Ken Bosse of New Life Assembly of God church in Raymond called upon our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, to protect each rider from physical and spiritual harm.
LACONIA — Bikers Church ministry at Weirs Beach during Bike Week 2006. Bikers For Christ members assisted the staff of the Bikers Church as they served breakfast, coffee and snacks throughout the 10 day event. Non-denominational Worship Services were conducted each evening, and the Holy Spirit was definitely "In the house"!
Then there are just all those memories we share of fellowship with secular motorcycle groups and trips to other states and even other countries...
ALTON — Bikers For Christ joined with the Christian Motorcyclist Association (CMA) for the Annual CMA Ride For The Son on May 5th to show our common bond in Christ, fellowship with one another at Jordan's Restaraunt in New Durham and publicly Worship our Savior at the bandstand on Alton Bay. It was a great day to ride around Lake Winnipesaukee and renew acquaintences with fellow Christian motorcyclists.

Hi Al,
Today has been a wonderful day for me. I hope for you as well. Having you folks with us seemed so natural and good. It shows clearly, that even though we wear different backpatches we still have comerarderie in Christ. Please share with your members, my heartfelt thanks for their participation in our "Run for the Son".Looking forward to seeing you again and best wishes for the ministry season.

MEREDITH - Ride for ForestView Home
September 23rd we joined bikers from around the state for the 1st Annual ForestView Ride around Lake Winnipesaukee. The foliage was lovely and the weather couldn't have been better as we celebrated with a cookout and drawings for just about everything. We took home the trophy for highest attendance group with Eleven BFC members and guests in attendance.
I think Bill Brown said it best though: "The perfect ending for the day was the opportunity to serve Jesus..." as we, at the request of a young lady by the name of Sarah, visited the home of her elderly grandmother who had just undergone surgery to pray together for healing... not merely physical healing for her grandmother, but for the emotional scars she herself bore. We keep them both in prayer still!

Dave and Thelma.. he's thrilled that he can still pick up chicks...
